Jupiter Jack Review: Great Gadget or Waste of Money?

Last Update: 1/29 5:19 pm
All of us know the dangers of using our cell phones while driving.

So a new product is tapping into those concerns...offering a way to go hands free on your cell phone in your car without buying an expensive Bluetooth device.

But is it really worthwhile?

Billy Mays, One Last Time

It's one of the last commercials pitchman Billy Mays made before his death....and it's still airing from beyond the grave on late night and cable TV.

It's for a product called Jupiter Jack, originally launched by May's TV show "Pitchmen."

Now it's everywhere -- on TV, online, and in stores in like Walgreens, which is where Jimmy Swages found it.

Bluetooth on a Budget

Call it "Bluetooth on a budget:" Jupiter Jack is a $19 gadget that turns your car radio into a hands free cell phone.

Just hook it into your phone with one of 6 enclosed adaptors...hang it on your dashboard ....set your car radio to a certain frequency... and make a call.

Jimmy says it worked easily the very first time, telling me "sure enough I was talking to my friend Joyce through the radio, and she said that it sounded great!"

But will it work in your car?
