Why doesn't this surprise me? Maybe it shouldn't, considering she has the proper pigmentation. I hope and pray a situation like this never happens again, but if one arises involving a minority, please show this same leniency! Tim Harris came out and said "race is never an issue," when it comes to charging suspects. A black 17 year old accidentally kills his white friend, with a handgun and we attempt to end his life as he knows it, but this habitual criminal gets a bond that we all knew would be attainable for her. Why do we look at Iran and Iraq and try to clean up their system, when our judicial system needs a good scrubbing. We have to take care of home first. I see everyone as equals, I didn't treat people of Middle Eastern Descent as if they're all terrorist, after September 11, 2001. My younger cousin died a few days before Mother's Day 2004, in Iraq, serving this great country. He was an only child. Why is it okay for us to die for this country, but in 2009 we still receive harsher punishment than Whites, for similar offenses.

This is the SECOND time Tausha Borland appeared before Judge Millie Otey, who FINALLY ordered Borland not to drive any vehicles. Technically, that would include bicycles. O.S. 47 1-177. But, she probably doesn't know enough about that part of the law enough to make the distinction. For the 2007 conviction, Judge Millie Otey should have ordered up NO driving motor vehicles, confiscated her car, and put her on a bike. According to MADD, the average drunk motorist drives drunk 87 times, BEFORE getting caught the FIRST time. It was only a matter of time before Tausha Borland got her fifteen minutes of fame. The GREAT American Criminal (in)Justice System FAILED her. It FAILED Voss. It FAILED Edmonds. And, the really CREEPY part? On 9 June 2010, the one-year anniversary, Oklahoma Highway Safety Office, OHSO, predicts AT LEAST another 200 will died on Oklahoma roads, because of alcohol-related crashes. This woman has driven drunk before and she will continue to do so unless she is kept locked up. Her past and current behavior have made it clear that she has no respect for the law. I want her locked up and I do not ever want her behind the wheel again.
