A wildfire is now under control in Creek County; but, it is still burning between Bristow and Kellyville.

The flames have scorched nearly 3-thousand acres of land out near West 201st Street and 257th West Avenue.

Investigators say the fire started Monday night because some was burning trash.

Crews had been putting out hotspots up until thursday.

"It was pretty calm yesterday and then the wind shifted on us and of course it got into some fresh stuff and started flaring back up," said Curtis Swart with Bristow Emergency Management.

No structures have been damaged or destroyed in the fire.
