While swine flu strikes students at college campuses across the country, few students have been able to get the vaccine.
The American College Health Association finds flu-like illnesses have shown up at 97-percent of universities. In its sample of 3 million students, the ACHA observed over 65,000 cases of ILI since late August. Virtually all of the confirmed cases have involved the H1N1 virus. Most cases were reported to be mild.
The organization tracks illnesses in 274 colleges across the country. It found that during October, just 43-percent of those colleges had received the H1N1 vaccine.
