Health officials report a cat in Iowa is the first in the country to come down with the H1N1 flu virus.
Veterinarians and the Iowa Department of Public Health say it is a 13-year old male cat living in a house where two humans had swine flu. The cat had symptoms of fatigue, sneezing, coughing and dehydration. Vets gave him antibiotics and treated the dehydration. They say he is expected to make a full recovery.
Experts say this is the first known transmission of swine flu from humans to a cat.
