Everyday some 220-million Americans are using the internet.
Today, users are taking advantage and using the internet to make money.

Brad Cole has been selling items online since 2003. Since than his hobby has turned into a business; manufacturing lures, sinkers, and jigs, attracting buyers around the world. Cole credits his success to eBay.

"Daily we ship 20 to 40 packages everyday and now i'm worldwide I ship all over the world." said Cole.

Brad found success using eBay, but others may be better off using Craigslist or Amazon.

"Now that the economy has gone west and people are scrambling, i'm seeing a lot of people asking how do I turn some of this stuff into money." said Joe Adamson eBay Sales Educator.

Adamson meets regularly with people wanting to sell items online but not sure where to go.

Some common products include; furniture, clothing, dvd's, jewelry, and toys.
Adamson has this advice for selling online.

Furniture: Sell on Craigslist. Most furniture weighs too much to be affordably shipped.

Clothing: Sell designer and vintage clothing on eBay. Sell everyday items in bulk groups on Craigslist.

DVD'S/CD'S: Try Amazon, however it can be difficult to compete. You may not get the price you were hoping for. Craigslist is a good choice for selling groups of dvd's and cd's in specific categories.

Jewelry: Best sold on eBay. Craigslist does not reach enough potential buyers to bring a fair price. Because jewelry is a high dollar item, Craigslist can be dangerous for buyers who have to meet up with potential buyers in person.

Toys: Best sold in groups on Craigslist. If toys are older and possible collector's items, eBay could bring the higher dollar.

Craigslist is a free site, geared to local buyers.
There are fees associated with eBay and Amazon. Those fees vary depending on the item and weight.
