“2008 Trip-A-Day in May” Contest Rules

Each weekday at 7:15 AM, starting May 5, 2008 and continuing through May 30, 2008, 92.9 KBEZ’s Steve & Carly will ask for caller #5 at 460-KBEZ. The correct caller must identify the “Secret Word” which KJRH 2NEWS will broadcast the weekday prior during the Ellen Show from 3 PM to 4 PM, and remind viewers of every morning during 2NEWS Today from 5AM – 7AM.

There will be no giveaway on Monday, May 26 due to the fact that it is a national holiday (Memorial Day). There will be TWO WINNERS on Tuesday, May 27. KJRH 2NEWS will broadcast two different secret words at the same time the weekday prior (Monday May 26th) during the Ellen Show from 3 PM to 4 PM and KBEZ will solicit for two callers the next morning, callers #5 and #6. Each will win a trip.

1. The “Trip-A-Day in May” 92.9 KBEZ contest is open to all U.S. 92.9 KBEZ listeners and KJRH 2NEWS viewers, age 18 and over.

2. Only one (1) qualifier or winner per family and household within a 30 day period.

3. Winners will be required to sign a release and all winners agree to allow 92.9 KBEZ and KJRH 2NEWS to use their name, and/or likeness for promotional purposes without further compensation. All calls coming in to 92.9 KBEZ are taped and may be aired on 92.9 KBEZ without further approval.

4. 92.9 KBEZ is not responsible for problems occurring within the telephone system which either inhibit or increase the chances of winning a phone-in contest. In the event two or more phone lines are "tied together" during a phone-in contest, the entire call and all callers "tied together" will be disqualified and another caller will be taken. 92.9 KBEZ cannot award duplicate prizes to any parties in a "tied-together" situation. In case of telephone line malfunctions, the decision of 92.9 KBEZ will be final.

5. Employees and agents of Renda Broadcasting, E.W. Scripps (KJRH 2NEWS), and/or Worry Free Vacations and their families, their advertising agencies, or representatives are ineligible to enter contests.

6. Winners may not request substitution or other consideration from the originally awarded prize. Unless otherwise stated, all prizes are to be picked up from the KBEZ business office.

7. Prizes are non-transferable. Prizes have no cash value, expressed or implied.

8. 92.9 KBEZ reserves the right to revoke prizes if the winner does not meet any or all eligibility requirements, even though an announcement may have been made on the air indicating that person as the winner.

9. A 1099 MISC form will be completed and filed with the Internal Revenue Service for each winner who, over the course of the calendar year, has won prizes with a total value of $600 or more. All local, state and federal taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner.

10. KBEZ may, due to the unavailability of prizes awarded, substitute another prize of equal or greater value for the prize originally won. KBEZ will not be responsible, or be held liable for prizes awarded to an event that is canceled due to circumstances beyond our control.

11. With respect to any disputes regarding contests, the decision of KBEZ is final.

12. KBEZ and KJRH 2NEWS, their agencies and representatives shall not be liable for any claim, injury or damage from contest or prize awarded in a contest.

13. All contest entries become the property of KBEZ. 92.9 KBEZ may withhold any or all contest materials, for any reason, station management deems crucial to the completion of the contest, or for any reason relating to publicity and/or advertising.

14. Unless otherwise stated, multiple entries by the same person will be discarded and may be deemed cause for disqualification.

15. Employees with other radio broadcasting companies are not eligible to win contests on 92.9 KBEZ.

16. These rules are subject to change without notice.

Worry-Free Vacations E-Certificate Trip Winner Terms & Conditions

Certificate valid for a Worry-Free Vacations air only or air and hotel package booking as indicated on the front of the certificate.
Booking and travel dates must fall into the range as specified on the front of the certificate.
At time of reservation, you must refer to the E-Certificate code printed on the front of the certificate. One E-Certificate per booking and each E-Certificate is valid for one use.
Programs and availability may vary.
All bookings and passenger names will be verified. E-Certificate is non-transferable.
Certificate value indicated on the certificate is per eligible component.
Maximum discount per booking is the total value indicated on the front of the E-Certificate and is applied per eligible air and/or hotel component.
Any unused value is forfeited and cannot be used towards another booking or another service component. No refunds will be issued towards offer. Offer has no cash value.
Certificate will recalculate if modifications are made to the booking.

Certificate applies to qualified passengers only.
Certificate is not valid with other discounts, previously purchased trips, or special status fares (such as companion, agency/industry discount, no-value, or child rates), on blackout dates, or for groups of 20 or more; and is not retroactive. Blackout dates are based on air departure date. 2008 blackout dates include Nov 21-27 & Dec 19-31.
Standard cancel/change fees apply.
No commission is paid/earned on E-Certificate value, taxes, and fees.
If booking exceeds E-Certificate value, or number of rooms indicated on the front of the E-Certificate, recipient is responsible for any balance due.
Taxes, customs, September 11th Security Fee, Passenger Facility Charges, fees and surcharges, segment fees, international taxes, and state and federal incomes may apply and are the sole responsibility of the recipient.
E-Certificate is void if altered or sold. E-Certificate will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
