2NEWS HD and the 2 Works For You Weather team will go to work during the Tulsa State Fair to help fairgoers keep their families safe.

The meteorologists will help program weather radios from 1:00 p.m. thru 3:00 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday during the fair.

For those who don't have a weather radio, 2NEWS has arranged for a vendor to have them for sale at the location.

Food Pyramid sells the Midland brand of weather radios, recommended by the 2 Works for You Weather team, for $29.95.

Fairgoers will find Chief Meteorologist Dan Threlkeld and Meteorologists Julie Chin, George Flickinger and George Waldenberger at the east end of the Esplanade by Central Park.

They should be easy to find, as the Channel 2 tent and a large vehicle featuring pictures of Pat Sajak, Vanna White, and Dan Threlkeld will be parked at that location.

Specialists from the National Weather Service (NWS) and Midland Radio will also help with programming the radios.

2 Works for You, the Official Weather Station for the 2009 Tulsa State Fair, will broadcast live during newscasts throughout the run of the Fair.

2NEWS Anchors Russ McCaskey, Karen Larsen, Erin Christy, Justin Wilfon and 2NEWS Reporters Beth Burnett, Jason Grubbs, Marla Carter, Pete Knutson will also be on hand on various days meeting fairgoers and signing autographs.
