TULSA, OK – KJRH 2 News is getting into the giving spirit this holiday season with the annual “2 for the Holidays” food drive.
Friday, December 12th, 2NEWS Anchors will be curbside at the 37th & Peoria studios accepting non-perishable food items for the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.
Folks are encouraged to drive by the 2 Works for You news studios in Brookside anytime between 7am and 7pm with food donations.
After the December 12th drive, donations can still be made until Sunday December 21st in the “2 for the Holidays” drop-boxes at all local REASOR’S and JCPenney stores as well as any Tulsa Metro State Farm agents’ office.
All non-perishable food items will go to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma that distributes to 424 Partner Programs in 24 counties of Eastern Oklahoma. These programs include food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, after school programs and senior citizen centers that collectively feed 50,000 people each week; the equivalent of 539,000 meals per month.
