Sunday, June 28, KJRH 2NEWS anchors Karen Larsen, Russ McCaskey and Big Al Jerkens were live from the 2News studios in Brookside for a two-hour telethon to sell the final tickets for the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. Chief Meteorologist Dan Threlkeld along with Kevan Seal from KOOL 106.1 were live on location from the Dream Home itself. In just more than an hour of the two-hour live broadcast, all 7,500 tickets were sold out breaking last year’s record for the Tulsa Dream Home. Callers continued to phone in to donate an additional $7,400 for children’s medical research.

This Sunday, June 28th, KJRH 2 Works for You presents the live St. Jude Dream Home giveaway from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sunday’s show is also the last chance people can buy $100 tickets for a chance to win the Dream Home valued at $340,000.

KJRH 2NEWS Works for You has launched a social networking Web site for moms in northeast Oklahoma. Users on the site can create a profile, blog about topics, share pictures and post conversations in a message board. Parents can find play dates, parenting groups, consumer tips and other parenting tips on tTownmoms.com. Topics on the site range from ‘cooking for children with food allergies’ to ‘working from home’ and everything in between.
