Multimedia Journalist # 1641

This list of duties is not exhaustive, and duties may be added, deleted or changed at any time, without notice.

1. Report, write, shoot, edit and produce stories for multiple platforms on deadline.
2. Research and develop original news stories.
3. Gather facts to support specific assigned news stories.
4. Record & edit video to support the presentation of assigned news stories.
5. Conduct and record live interviews
6. Deliver compelling well-written stories.
7. Perform other duties as may be assigned by the appropriate news managers.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree or equivalent work experience required.

EXPERIENCE: Two to four years experience as a reporter, photojournalist or producer TAPE IN ANY FORMAT IS REQUIRED.

EQUIPMENT: Computer literacy required, including newsroom computer systems. Videography and non-linear editing experience preferred.
SKILLS /
ABILITIES: A. Knowledge of broadcast quality camera equipment.
B. Edit video on Final cut Pro editing systems, or similar equipment.
C. Strong broadcast and AP style writing skills
D. Proficient at posting content to various websites.
E. Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
F. Available for various work schedules, night/weekends and/or holidays

LICENSE/
CERTIFICATE: Must have valid drivers license, good driving record and provide proof of insurability.


PHYSICAL
REQUIREMENTS: Physically capable of consistently lifting approximately 30-40 lbs and able to tolerate standing for long periods of time..
