ERIN CHRISTY christy@kjrh.com Erin Christy wakes up bright and early in the morning to anchor 2NEWS Today and 2NEWS Midday.
She joined KJRH in April 2003 as a General Assignment Reporter.
Before coming to Tulsa, Erin was morning anchor and consumer reporter for WMDT, the ABC affiliate in Salisbury, Maryland.
Before beginning her career in broadcasting, Erin worked as a public relations associate at a firm in our nation's capital, Washington, D.C.
Although she spent some time on the East Coast, Erin says she is glad to be back in her home state of Oklahoma! She has lived in Weatherford and Claremore, but spent most of her "growing years" in Norman. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Journalism.
In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family, including her husband and daughter.
She also loves being outside--whether it's heading to the lake on the weekend or just taking a walk or sitting out on a patio. She also enjoys the theatre, crossword puzzles, listening to music, movies, long-distance running, and spending time with her bull mastiff, Maya.
Erin is an animal lover! She is on the board of directors for the Humane Society of Tulsa.
You can see Erin co-anchor with Justin Wilfon Monday through Friday from 5-7 a.m. and again from 11 a.m.-noon.
