BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - A rollover accident west of Bartlesville Saturday night sent two teens to the hospital and one airlifted to a Tulsa hospital.
A helicopter transported 19-year-old Djon Wilson to St. Francis Hospital where he was admitted in stable condition with head and leg injuries, according to the highway patrol.
Officials said that shortly before 8:30 p.m.18-year-old Kelsey Richers of Bartlesville was driving southbound on Okesa Road roughly a half-mile south of U.S. Highway 60 when her Chevy Malibu failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway, overcorrected, went into a broad slide, crossed the roadway and struck a ditch causing vehicle one to roll one-and-a-half times.
Richers and her passenger Brittney Allen, 17, also of Bartlesville were transported by ambulance to Jane Phillips Medical Center where they were treated and released. Another passenger, 17-year-old Vardell Smith was not injured.
Wilson was a passenger of the same vehicle.
According to the state trooper who worked the scene of the accident, the vehicle first left the roadway due to distracted driving.
