Osage County officials: Search continues for missing Bartlesville man

PAWHUSKA, Okla. - The search is still on for Bartlesville resident Timothy Hauser who disappeared after being last seen in Osage County nearly two weeks ago, according to authorities.

"We are still asking for assistance from the public if they have any information they can share," Osage County Undersheriff Lou Ann Brown told 2NEWS, saying so far investigators have exhausted every piece of information and every call they have received about the case.

The 62-year-old disabled man was last seen on the morning of Aug. 9 leaving Osage Casino just west of Bartlesville with Trysta Shaffer, 28, and Rusty Petty, 40 — both who were arrested and suspected of involvement in Hauser's disappearance.

Even with their arrest, the county authorities still are seeking clues about Hauser's whereabouts.

Wednesday morning Osage County officials along with a dive team from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol spent an hour searching the Caney River underneath the Cherokee Bridge in Bartlesville for clues — based on information that "somebody saw someone through something" off the bridge, Brown told 2NEWS.

The search turned up nothing, she said.

"We are still continuing the search and investigating," Brown said.

Those bearing any information on the whereabouts of Hauser are asked to contact the Osage County Sheriff's office at 918-287-3131.
