OHP: Bartlesville man dead following Osage County crash

BARNSDALL, Okla. - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a deadly accident in Osage County that left a Bartlesville man dead.

31-year-old Donald Lee Hogue was pronounced dead at the scene after he was ejected from his vehicle and it rolled on top of him, crushing him.

The collision happened shortly after 10 p.m. Monday on State Highway 123 just north and east of the Barnsdall city limits.

According to the trooper that worked the scene, Hogue was driving northbound in a 1996 Ford Explorer when his vehicle swerved left then right, departed the roadway to the right and struck an embankment, causing the car to roll twice before coming to rest on its wheels.

Hogue was was transported to Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Hogue was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
