Crews have a sizable grass fire north of the Bartlesville airport under control, according to Dewey fire officials.
According to Washington County Emergency Management, the fire was burning near Bar Dew Lake and burned about 1,500 acres.
Officials say this is a fire that began Thursday. Crews got the flames under control that evening, but it flare up Friday.
The fire did threaten some homes earlier in the day, but crews were able to fight those flames away from the structures.
Multiple agencies responded to the help contain the flames. Firefighters will remain in the area throughout the night to work controlled burns.
No injuries or structure damage has been reported.
