Bartlesville police: Woman pours hot grease on boyfriend

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Police arrested a Bartlesville woman Saturday after she allegedly dumped a pan of hot grease on her boyfriend during an altercation, leaving him severely burned.

Eighteen-year-old Amanda Rachelle Olsen, charged with domestic abuse, assault and battery, on Monday appeared in Washington County District Court where the judge set her bond at $1,500.

According to police, the four-months pregnant Olsen and her boyfriend were at their residence on the 5600 block of S.E. Hazel Road when Olsen tried to throw a dish and her boyfriend stopped her.

It was then that Olsen reportedly grabbed a pan of hot grease and poured it on her boyfriend's shoulder.

Police said the action left severe burns from the top of his shoulder, down his arm onto his bicep area. The burns had large blisters, peeling skin and clear liquid seeping out, according to the affidavit.

During Olsen's court appearance on Monday, the judge ordered she have no contact with the victim in the case.

Olsen is now free on bond.
