BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - A Bartlesville man found guilty this week of beating his grandmother to death with a baseball bat is awaiting sentencing.
Brandon Capps, 21, is facing a potential life sentence for the crime. Thursday, a Washington County jury found him guilty of six counts related to the killing, including first-degree murder.
Capps' grandmother, 81-year-old Clara Hammer, was found dead near her front door by a neighbor. Police arrested Capps a day later after finding him in Hammer's missing Oldsmobile.
