Will DuPree

Multimedia Journalist

Will DuPree joined the KJRH news team as a multimedia journalist in February 2014.

He comes to Green Country after spending more than two years as a video journalist and fill-in anchor at KAIT, the ABC affiliate in Jonesboro, Ark.

While at KAIT, Will grew to more expertly manage his time as a “one-man-band,” responsible for shooting, writing and editing multiple stories every day.

Will grew up in Northeast Arkansas, so his job in Jonesboro allowed him to report on issues that truly affected his family and friends.

His reporting took him all over northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri where he covered everything from in-depth police investigations to a county’s historic decision to allow the sale of alcohol for the first time.

Will began his professional journalism career as a reporter and producer at 6News Lawrence, a cable station in Lawrence, Kan.

Before making his way to Lawrence, Will attended Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Ill. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in journalism in 2010, and he proudly sports purple and white for his alma mater but definitely does not miss the frigid winters in Chicago.

During his time at Northwestern, Will enjoyed several internships. He served as the first intern for the CBS News bureau in Chicago during 2008, assisting with stories about the H1N1 "swine flu" scare and Michael Jackson's death. He also worked as a news intern for KATV in Little Rock.

Will split much of his time at school between the student-run television station, the Northwestern News Network and the undergraduate admission office where he gave tours and other presentations to prospective students.

During his spare time, Will enjoys trying new restaurants, checking out the latest movies and whipping up new recipes in his kitchen.

Will is excited to explore Tulsa and the surrounding communities and meet the interesting, inspiring people that call this area home.
