Marla Carter says she's so excited to be here in Tulsa! As a Kansas City native, she feels right at home here in the midwest.

She joined KJRH in March of 2007 as an investigative reporter. Before joining Channel 2 she worked at WIBW in Topeka, Kansas for more than three years.

While there, she received a Kansas Association of Broadcasters award for a series on sex offenders.

Marla just won an Oklahoma Association of Broadcasters award for her investigative work into the Muskogee VA Hospital. She’s also received awards for her work in a 30 minute special on unpaid property taxes and the financial repercussions on school districts across the state. It prompted a state lawmaker to write a bill for a fix. Marla is a graduate from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

In her free time, you can find her walking her dogs or going for a jog. If you have anything you would like her to investigate send her an e-mail!
