Dan came to KJRH in April 2011 from KLKN in Lincoln, Nebraska. With the state capitol right in the center of town, he spent a lot of time covering stories at the country's only unicameral legislature. He was there to see some landmark bills pass, including the state's controversial safe-haven law, which gained national attention. When he wasn't covering politics, he was all around the city covering some wild weather, crime and, of course, college football.
Dan also spent some time in another capital city, Washington, D.C. He graduated from American University with degrees in broadcast journalism and political science. Before that, he spent two summers back home in Cincinnati, Ohio, working as an intern at E.W. Scripps-owned WCPO. That helped him land his first job, in Washington, as a production assistant and field producer, at WRC.
Dan is excited to now call Tulsa home. In his spare time, he likes spending time outdoors, traveling and watching his hometown Reds and Bengals. If you see him around town, stop by and say hello!
