KJRH announces Brett Anthony as Chief Meteorologist for 2 Works for You Storm Shield Weather

Tulsa - Brett Anthony, an Emmy award winning 20-year weathercasting veteran, will join 2 Works for You as Chief Meteorologist starting September 23rd, 2013.
It is a move within Scripps, KJRH Channel 2's parent company, for Anthony, who has worked as the morning and midday meteorologist at KSHB, the NBC affiliate in Kansas City, since 2002. He's been forecasting weather around the country for more than 20 years, most of that time spent in Missouri. He has worked in Joplin, Springfield, Cape Girardeau, MO and also Cleveland, OH.
"Brett is knowledgeable, professional and a really, really great guy who brings a wealth of expertise to our weather coverage here in Tulsa," said 2 Works for You Vice President & General Manager Donna Wilson. "There is no doubt that his number one priority will be informing our viewers and keeping them safe."
Brett holds seals of approval from both the American Meteorological Society as well as the National Weather Association. A graduate of Western Kentucky University, Brett majored in meteorology and he also holds a degree in Broadcasting from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
Brett has been a contributor for NBC Nightly News and The Today Show. Just last year he won an Emmy award for a severe weather special called, "Surviving the Storm," and he also has received numerous AP awards and honorable mentions for weather and feature reporting in Kansas, Kentucky & Missouri.
Brett is looking forward to making Tulsa his new home with his wife and two boys Seth and Aaron.
